For sericulture for better production of require best quality of silkworm and good quality of food also provide the silkworm.
The best silk is called mulberry and it's produced by silkworm Bombyx morri, while tussar silk and Eri silk are the inferior quality.
The quality and quantity of silk depends on the mulberry leaves on which the larvae feed.

There are some infections we want to avoid it, silkworm larvae may be infected by protozoan, viral and fungal.
